Bellevue Community College is a student-centered, comprehensive and innovative college located in Bellevue, Washington. Serving approximately 35,000 students each year, Bellevue College offers educational programs in five general categories:
* Baccalaureate degrees in Healthcare Technology Management, Radiation & Imaging Sciences, and Interior Design
* Transfer study (the first two years of college) in more than 50 interest areas
* Work-related training through more than 90 associate-degree and certificate programs in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, Interior Design, and other fields
* Adult Basic Education, including English language training
* Continuing Education programs in Computing & Technology, Business & Workplace skills (including contract training tailored for the workforces of individual employers), Languages, Art, Travel, and personal enrichment.

Company History
2012 - State approves third bachelor’s degree at Bellevue College in Healthcare Technology and Management.
2012 - Bellevue College earns national recognition as a finalist for a national Bellwether Award in the Workforce Development category for its “It Takes a Village: Strategic Partnerships for Student Success” program.
2011 - Bellevue College’s marketing group wins two Medallion Awards from the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations
2010 - NW Commission on Colleges and Universities awards baccalaureate accreditation to Bellevue College
2009 - Bellevue Community College changed name to Bellevue College
2009 - State approves second baccalaureate degree at Bellevue College in Interior Design
2009 - Bellevue College named Military Friendly School by G.I. Jobs magazine, placing BC in top 15% nationally in this regard.
2007 - State approves baccalaureate degree at Bellevue College in Radiation Imaging and Sciences
2006 - Microsoft Corporation names Bellevue Community College an IT Showcase School
2006 - Distinguished Chapter Award from the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society
2006 - “Service Award to Founding Partners” from the Bellevue Entrepreneur Center, in recognition of BCC's support and dedication to the Center and the support it provides to Eastside entrepreneurs, especially to women- and minority-owned businesses.
2005 - Eastern Washington University partnered with Bellevue College and established a university center at BC Main Campus
2004 - National Service-Learning and Civic Engagement Collaboration Award from the Community College National Center of Community Engagement.
2004 - Senator Paul Simon Award for Campus Internationalization
1999 - Vice President Al Gore cites BCC as one of 20 colleges known for world-class 21st Century job preparation
1998 - Rolling Stone Magazine names BCC one of ten top community colleges in the nation
1995 - National Science Foundation names BCC a Center of Excellence in Information Technology
1969 - Received accreditation for the first time from the Northwest Association of Secondary and Higher Schools
1967 - Washington State Legislature passed the Community College Act, by which Bellevue Community College was separated from the Bellevue School District.
1966 - Bellevue Community College was established as part of Bellevue School District
Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
* By 2013, approved to offer four baccalaureate programs: Healthcare Technology & Management; Radiation Imaging & Sciences, Information Systems & Technology, and Interior Design.
* In 2012, Bellevue College awarded $145,000 SkillUp grant to help low-income working adults and disadvantaged youth succeed in the college’s Operating System Support Specialist training program.
* In 2009, U.S. Commercial Service honors Bellevue College for $19.9 million economic impact of international students.
* In 2007, National Science Foundation awards $478,000 to fund original genomics research by BCC students.
* In 2005, Charles Kennedy Equity Award from the Association of Community College Trustees, recognizing exemplary commitment to equitable treatment for minorities and women.
* In 2004, BCC selected to create state Center for Information Technology Excellence.
